A Short Story About Our Company
Cindy has always had a passion for the martial arts, and the dream to open her own karate school. During her martial arts career, her Tang Soo Do Masters at TDS Family Martial Arts and Fitness Centers decided to retire, and her Aikido sensei at International Roykukai moved back to Japan, but she didn't want to stop learning and practicing what she loves. She created Ki Concepts, where all friends and students she has met through the different dojang and dojos have a welcoming and friendly place to furthur their knowlege, skills, and appreciation for the arts.

Meet Katsumi Niikura Sensei

Born and raised near the Atsugi Military Base in Japan, Niikura Sensei has studied Karate and Judo since he was a boy, and has dedicated his life to these practices. He later learned Aikido and Iado, and came to America at age 40 to further his studies and share his ways. He stayed in America for 34 years, where he has opened his own dojo, and practiced Ki Energy with hundreds of students and numerous trips to engage these methods.

"Using this energy (unique breathing  method of martial arts) and a lot of trial and error, I was able to come up with a lot of techniques and from my heart I want to help sick people recover their health. My breathing technique is a treasure born and raised in America."
Now Sensei is back in Japan, but when he visits, he treats many old friends and new clients at Ki Concepts with Cindy Oesterling. It is a wonderful blessing when Sensei visits, for the impact he has made in both America and Japan are truly humbling.
